Jesus Fish vs. Darwin Fish in the US

America Isn’t Shy About Displaying Christian Faith on Cars

During a recent cross country trip from Arizona to New York, we took note of every ‘religious fish’ car magnet we saw and about where in the country we saw it. Somewhat expectedly, it went something like this:

Photos of the Creation Museum in Kentucky

Rather than using science, the Creation Museum employs emotional messages to push its own scientific propaganda.

During a recent cross country trip, we stopped by the new Creation Museum in Kentucky. We wanted to see this with our own eyes. We took a few photos while we were there.

You Just Can’t Win With These Guys…

In the 2007 ABC Nightline Debate between The Way of the Master and the Rational Response Squad, Kirk Cameron spends a good deal of time attacking the theory of evolution. “…More than a hundred years (since Darwin) have gone by and those missing links, those transitional forms, those in between stages, are still missing.” In the video below, Cameron can be seen holding up pictures of the “crockoduck,” the “bullfrog,” and the “sheepdog,” firmly proclaiming that these are exactly the types of transitional forms that evolutionary scientists would expect to find.

A Creationist Tour Through The Denver Museum of Nature and Science

ABC Nightline News Series ‘Faith Matters’ Reports A Creationist Tour Through the Denver Museum of Nature and Science

Upon publishing this article, we realized this video actually tours the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and not the Creation Museum in Kentucky. We readily admit our fault and apologize. The video below features two young-earth creationists leading a tour group of home-schooled Christians through the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

Creationists claim that science and research have it wrong. Two young earth creationists educate their tour group from the biblical point of view, a view that doesn’t need to be explained by science. The museum does contain dinosaur fossils, but tour guides present them as either remnants of the Great Flood or pure decoration.

ABC Nightline films portions of a creationist tour through the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and sits down with two of the tour guides as well as the museum’s curator. Brian Rooney reports.

Unicorns Are Real

Unicorns Are Mentioned In the Bible and, Therefore, Exist.

In reaction to Kentucky’s Creation Museum, the folks at This Week In Science have launched a website for the Unicorn Museum. The idea behind the Unicorn Museum is to parody a principle that many theists adhere to: If it’s in the Bible, It’s true. Unicorns are mentioned 9 times in the King James Version of the Bible.

Clarence Darrow Must Be Rolling Over in His Grave…

Woods Whole Oceanographic InstituteNathaniel Abraham, 35, is suing the Woods Whole Oceanographic Institute of Cape Cod, claiming he was wrongfully dismissed in 2004 because of his Christian belief that the Bible presents a true account of human creation. As per his beliefs, Abraham does not accept the theory of evolution as scientific fact, and requested not to work on evolutionary aspects of research. Abraham is asking for $500,000 in compensation.

Creation: Gotta Be This or That?

On May 9th, 2007 actor-turned-evangelical Kirk Cameron and minister Ray Comfort (both of Way of the Master fame) debated atheistic members of the Rational Response Squad on an episode of ABC Nightline. Cameron stated that in his opinion, “the number one reason…people don’t believe in the existence of God is because of evolution.”

Cameron and his partner, Ray Comfort, then went on to attack what they felt were the major flaws of the theory of evolution. Their complete lack of knowledge regarding evolutionary theories aside, it is important to note that although they voice problems with evolution, they did not provide any separate, positive evidence for creationism—at least, no evidence more complex than the “creation-proves-a-creator” gem. I would have been more interested to see some carbon dating that proves the earth is only 6000 years old, or fossil records which clearly show no change between early and later forms–or even a talking snake. Perhaps Cameron and Comfort hoped that if they simply poked enough holes in the evolutionary theory, their viewers would automatically fall back on creationism as stated in the bible.
