Pastor Says Killing the President, Abortionists, and Homosexuals Not a Crime
Pastor Steven L. Anderson, of Faithful Word Baptist Church, has been making headlines recently for delivering a “hateful” sermon against President Barrack Obama. Please watch the following interview to get a basic idea of Pastor Anderson’s beliefs.
And this, folks, is why a biblically-based moral code is dangerous.
Sure, some of you may be saying, but true Christians aren’t like that. True Christians are loving and compassionate. Without the bible, we’d have no basis for judging morality; we can’t throw that away just because this nutjob has misinterpreted the word of god.
So many of the kind, compassionate Christians I speak to every day like to argue that, because the bible is the best possible basis for judging morality, we should keep it in mind when making national laws, and we should teach the bible, as truth, in our schools. Now, you may be a kind, compassionate Christian who has been inspired by the bible to be even more kind and compassionate, but let me ask you: without reason, logic, and evidence, how can you prove that your interpretation of the bible is the correct one, while this Pastor Anderson is an obvious lunatic? Aren’t you both working on faith? Aren’t BOTH of your beliefs systems lacking support? Sure, you’re entitled to your personal beliefs, but once you, or Pastor Anderson, or anyone starts claiming that their beliefs provide the best basis for morality and should be followed by everyone, you are now obligated to back up your claims.
Of course, it’s because of men like Anderson that laws in the US cannot and should not be made based on any individual’s religious beliefs. One wonders that if Pastor Anderson had the chance, would he ENFORCE the rules he spoke about in this interview? Would he make homosexuality a crime in this country, punishable by death?
And after listening to Pastor Anderson go on, can we all at least agree that separation of church and state is a very good thing?

This is very scary, because this man truly, honestly beleives that my family should be murdered because we don’t beleive in a white-bearded man living in the clouds.
If he made the laws, the U.S. would be reverted to the medevil ages. Burnings, witch hunts, and persicution in the name of an imaginary god.
Thou shalt not kill………Isn’t that one of the commandments. Now I take exception in discussing our and that is right I state OUR President Barack Obama in the same breath of various groups. Really, dude this is our President, wheter I voted for him or not he is OUR President. Just as President Bush, Nixon, Clinton and so on was OUR President. This conversation itselt is out of order – our President deserves better – a due process would be to determine your ability to function without adult supervision.
You require, help, prayer and understanding from other children of God’s beautiful World.
