A Quick Follow-Up…

Well, Ted and I are now officially married. Our secular wedding went off without a hitch, and no one seemed offended or put out by the lack of religious references. Many people even commented on how beautiful the ceremony was! Our officiant did an excellent job; he focused on our relationship, and on the importance of compromise and understanding in marriage. I can’t help thinking that all weddings should focus more on the bride and groom (since after all it IS their day) and less on religion and cultural superstition, but I realize that’s an opinion not everyone will share.
Long story short, we had exactly the wedding we hoped for, and the day was a celebration of unity rather than an instrument of division. Perfect.
And now, on with the skepticism…

Same here, no religion involved married on a beach was about the bride and the groom. Though I had Italian relatives who wanted to make it different. Late Congrats!!!
