America Isn’t Shy About Displaying Christian Faith on Cars
During a recent cross country trip from Arizona to New York, we took note of every ‘religious fish’ car magnet we saw and about where in the country we saw it. Somewhat expectedly, it went something like this:
Rather than using science, the Creation Museum employs emotional messages to push its own scientific propaganda.
During a recent cross country trip, we stopped by the new Creation Museum in Kentucky. We wanted to see this with our own eyes. We took a few photos while we were there.
I was able to find a page called Best and Worst of the Year Awards, a compilation of outrageous claims and blunders, many of which have been publicly debunked by skeptics. After taking a gallop through the 2007 list, I thought it might be amusing to throw up a personal highlight reel from NMSR’s list.
In the 2007 ABC Nightline Debate between The Way of the Master and the Rational Response Squad, Kirk Cameron spends a good deal of time attacking the theory of evolution. “…More than a hundred years (since Darwin) have gone by and those missing links, those transitional forms, those in between stages, are still missing.” In the video below, Cameron can be seen holding up pictures of the “crockoduck,” the “bullfrog,” and the “sheepdog,” firmly proclaiming that these are exactly the types of transitional forms that evolutionary scientists would expect to find.
ABC Nightline News Series ‘Faith Matters’ Reports A Creationist Tour Through the Denver Museum of Nature and Science
Upon publishing this article, we realized this video actually tours the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and not the Creation Museum in Kentucky. We readily admit our fault and apologize. The video below features two young-earth creationists leading a tour group of home-schooled Christians through the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
Creationists claim that science and research have it wrong. Two young earth creationists educate their tour group from the biblical point of view, a view that doesn’t need to be explained by science. The museum does contain dinosaur fossils, but tour guides present them as either remnants of the Great Flood or pure decoration.
ABC Nightline films portions of a creationist tour through the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and sits down with two of the tour guides as well as the museum’s curator. Brian Rooney reports.
